Hey, Curvy Crew!
There is something about an African Print Maxi skirt that I just love and this custom skirt from Sister Makeba makes me happy. It’s the perfect length and oh my God…It has pockets! Yes, pockets people. Who doesn’t love a skirt with pockets?
On this day, I thought I was on my way to an event in Los Angeles, but then I realized that the event was the next day, but I couldn’t waste a perfectly good outfit, plus I’ve been wanting to share Sister Makeba with you. Khamille the owner of Sister Makeba is simply amazing. She has a heart so big for people that she is constantly creating ways to help, inspire and grow everyone around. She has so many gifts, including being a graphic designer, but the gift that we are showcasing here is this beautiful printed skirt that was fitted and custom made just for me
I had the opportunity to pick out the fabric, talk about the length since I’m tall, I really wanted the skirt to hover just above the ground and of course, we added pockets. Did I mention the pockets already? Oh well, I think they are cool and need to be mentioned one more time.
I pulled the look together with a simple black tee from Target Collection Ava and Viv, black booties from Frank Sarto and a black head wrap. I kept the accessories simple as I wanted to skirt to be the star of the show.
