If you’ve been following me on my social media channels then you know that I’ve been focused on my weight loss journey and it’s become highly important for me to get healthy.
My journey has not been strictly about losing weight, to be honest, it’s been more important for me to make changes so that I can live a healthier lifestyle. Working on my eating habits, being more active and dealing with my emotional side as well.
When I took the photos for this #OOTD post, it was at that moment that I realize that my journey has some ups and downs but I actually see the progress. I can tell that I have more energy, slimming down and I’m emotionally happier.
This cute black dress from Forever21+ and is actually kind of old. I think I had this dress for over a year or two and I’ve only worn it a handful of times because it showed every roll I had..lol But along my journey, every once in a while, I go into my closet and pick something that I haven’t worn in a while. On this day, it was this dress. When I put the dress on, I literally did my happy dance and I could see that my hard work was starting to show.
This look was simple, yet made a statement. I love the head wrap, it automatically gives this regal feeling to any look. Paired with boots and this dress from Forever21, it was perfect!
But the real question is…How do you wear a fitted dress when you’re curvy?
Here is a simple tip that I use:
Shapewear – I like to wear shapewear on a regular basis because it helps to smooth everything out. This is especially helpful when you are wearing a fitted dress. Some of the brands that I like to get my shape wear from is Maiden Form and Spanx, but there is a variety of companies that offer shape wear.
What tips do have for wearing fitted clothing?
