Dealing with dry skin throughout my life, I’ve found ways to combat the dryness for the moment, but it always comes back. I’ve used everything from oils, to creams, hydrating facial sprays to moisturizing masks, but nothing seemed to combat the dryness for good. So, I decided to dive into some research about hydrating the skin, but then I remembered my hair.
I know that sounds weird, but yes my hair. My hair is very dry too but I’ve found ways to bring moisture to my hair so I thought what if some of the things I do for my hair would work for my face. The thing that really brought moisture to my hair was honey. It’s a natural humectant and draws moisture from the air, so why not try this in my skin care routine. Growing up, I remember seeing my mom use honey on her face and never really asked why or what it did. I tried to use just honey, but it was far too messy and I didn’t see any difference in my skin.
One day, while flipping through a magazine I saw an ad for Sephora advertising different products for skin care. One of the areas was dry skin and I saw it…Farmacy Honey Potion renewing antioxidant hydration mask…whew that’s a mouth full. I picked it up and all I can say is I’m In LOVE!
When I first opened up the packaging, was very impressed with honey-combed shaped container with the magnetic top to keep the mini spatula handy for easy application. The Farmacy Honey Potion Mask is a warming massage mask, so when you place this very thick formula on your face, you massage it into the skin and you can feel the slight warming sensation that nourishes and revitalizes the skin. As I mentioned earlier, honey is a natural humectant and is very moisturizing, the mask also includes propolis, a healing antiseptic found in beehives and amino acid rich royal jelly that enhances skin renewal.
I’ve used this mask several times and I’m truly in love by the way my skin feels after using the mask. What I’ve noticed most is the dry patches that I usually have especially during cooler weather months have been non-existent. I’m currently using this mask twice a week and it’s so nourishing and gives my skin this very healthy glow.
The Farmacy Honey Potion cost $56.00, so it’s not cheap but for my skin type I can honestly say that it’s been worth it. For a few reasons, first, my skin feels so hydrated after using, secondly, the warming massage makes you feel like you’re at a spa and finally, my dry patches have gone away! Yay! Seriously, this is definitely a facial masks that I would recommend for anyone dealing with dry dull skin because this mask will give you a radiant glow.
