As a kid, one of my favorite memories that I love was making Rice Krispies Treats with my mom. It was a bond that we will forever have and the taste is so nostalgic that it brings me right back to childhood.
What better way to celebrate love, than to bring back a childhood favorite for a special Valentine’s Day treat. Instead of the traditional way, we are adding that Valentine’s Day touch, with some Bittersweet Chocolate and White Chocolate that we added a little food coloring to, to give it that pink kiss!
The great thing about Rice Krispies Treats is that they are not expensive to make, you can add tons of other candies, cereal and fun touches to make them extraordinary! They are also super simple to make. I usually make them on the stove but decided to try the microwave method. And of course, they came out perfect. This would be perfect way for you to bond with the kids in your family. Use the microwave, so there is no need to watch the little around the stove. Just be aware that the bowl maybe a little hot.
Making these on Valentine’s Day with the family will surely be a way to create some lasting memories.
