Hello Curvy Girly’s!!!
I was recently asked by a reader what my theme or mantra for 2015 was and it got me to thinking. In 2014, I had lots of ups and downs, but during the periods of hardships I found “me”. I found the women inside of me that was hiding and afraid to live. It’s funny, we all hide parts of ourselves that we are fearful that people may judge or criticize, but when we hide the person that we truly are, we are not being our Authentic selves. When you are living your most authentic life, everyone around will admire you and want to know you. We all have people who may not like us but when we are our authentic self, it sometimes can intimidate or cause jealousy in some individuals. However, we can’t focus on the negative people around, but surround ourselves with people who accept our authentic self.
As for my Mantra or Theme for 2015…It’s to #Liiive my Authentic life! To love the skin I’m in, Love my curves, love my natural hair, love my unique personality and all the special quirks that make me me! Being mindful of my truest intentions. Following what’s deeply embedded in my heart and following my dreams. Stepping out of my comfort zone on a more consistent basis, which will allow me to be in that uncomfortable space that allows me to grow and be better.
If you’re reading this, I want to encourage you to #Liiive Your Authentic life! Living your authentic life starts with
1. Being your true self everyday. Yes, this can be hard sometimes. especially in certain social situations. However, allowing yourself to be true, you find fulfillment, peace and your true potential.
2. Accepting your strengths and your weaknesses. When you can fully accept yourself, there is a freedom that cannot be explained only felt. You feel light, free and liberated! Ready to conquer the world.
3. Being self-aware. When you are self-aware, you know what you want out of life and you’re able to make decisions with ease because you will only accept those things that move you closer to your dreams. I remember reading this saying and it has stuck with me for many years: “Stand in the Presence of your Imperfections.” If you can become self-aware, you realize that you are only human and will make mistakes, but those mistakes will develop your talents and skills.
I hope this encourages you to step out of your comfort zone and live the life that you were meant to live! Join the Curvy Girly Revolution to #Liiive our most Authentic Life!
