Hey Curvy Girly’s!
Valentine’s Day is almost upon us and we are all thinking about that perfect date night look. I’m a big fan of red, but decided that I wanted to go for more of a Sweetheart look this year. What better than finding a cute thrifted dress for under $5…Yes, $5! And adding some accessories and cute shoes to pull it all together!
I’m fairly new at thrifting and definitely learning the ropes from my blogger buddies that have it down to a science. A few months ago, I decided to stop by my local Goodwill. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, just wanted to test the waters of thrifting a bit. I felt a little overwhelmed when I first arrived, but after a few minutes I got the hang of it. I started finding items and looking at things, not how they were on the hanger, but with an eye of what I could do with the item. That changed the game…
When I came across this Talbots Woman Tweed Sheath dress, I fell in love. The dress reminded me of this beautiful Chanel suit in Pink and Creme Tweed that is absolutely one of those wish list items. So, you know I had to get it. The Talbots dress sat in my closet untouched for months, but when I started thinking about how I wanted to showcase a Sweetheart look, I know this would be the perfect look.
I kept the look simple because I wanted to showcase the dress itself. My shoes are classic nude MaryJane’s from Lane Bryant, the necklace is TargetStyle, and the pearl bracelet is actually one of those long pearl necklaces that I wrapped around my wrist. The Pearl Necklace is one of my prized possessions as it belong to my late Grandmother. It was the perfect finishing piece to this look because she is and will always be the sweetest person I know.
What look are you going for this Valentine’s Day? Sweetheart, Sultry, Sexy? Or are you Anti-Valentine’s and wearing black?
Stop by tomorrow, as I show you my Anti-Valentine’s Day Look!
