I love this time of the year. Although California is in the middle of a heat wave, I still love the fall season. With Halloween right around the corner, I was happy to receive my Halloween Inspired Ipsy Bag.
As you may already know, Ipsy is a beauty subscription program that cost $10 per month and you receive 5 deluxe size beauty and skin care products. The products are shipped to you after you complete a survey on the website. The survey is designed to help select products that will be perfect for you.
I’ve been receiving the Ipsy Bag for several months now, and I must say that I haven’t been disappointed in the bags at all. I may not like every item in the bag, but there is alway an item that I’ve been wanting to try or tried for the first time and fall in love. This months bag is no exception.
Let’s start with the super cute Halloween Inspired makeup bag. The Ipsy team collaborated with Valfré to designed this super cute bag. Every month, Ipsy out does the last bag. For the month of October I will be carrying this little beauty around. Don’t you just love the artwork?
I’ve mentioned in other videos and in previous posts that I have very dry skin, so my cleansing regime has to involve products that will help to bring moisture back into my skin. I’ve found that using a cleansing oil to remove my makeup has helped to alleviate dry, tight skin after cleanings, so I was excited to see that included in my bag was the Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. After my very first use, I could immediately feel that my skin was hydrated and felt silky smooth. I’m looking forward to continuing to use this product. You might see this in one of my Favorites videos coming soon!

I love a good Nail Polish but when I first opened my Ipsy bag to reveal the KoKie Nail Polish in Heavenly, I was little nervous because the color is out of my comfort zone of nude polishes, but I decided to give it a try and FELL IN LOVE! I’ve been wearing the color for a little over a week and I can’t tell you how it has opened me up to trying other colors. When I first tried the nail polish, I didn’t have a top coat so I figured it wouldn’t last long because I didn’t seal it with a clear polish. I can tell you right now, that I didn’t need it. After a few days, I happen to notice that I didn’t have any chipping at all. I was blown away! without a top coat, my nails lasted about 8 days, can you believe that? I’m sold and looking forward to testing out other colors from KoKie.
Kokie Cosmetics – Kokie Nail Polish in Heavenly
Whose ready to have some fun with this NYX VividBrights Liquid Eyeliner in Gun Metal? (Raises Hand) ME! In the video, I swatched this liner on my hand and it’s so smooth and the color is super pigmented. I can see using the liner to do a cat eye or winged liner look or adding a bit of flash to a cut crease. Either way, I’m definitely going to have some fun. Oh and btw…that swatch I did on my hand stayed after several hand washes, which lets me know that a dramatic eye look will stay all night, and I will need to use my TATCHA Cleansing Oil to remove it!
NYX Professional Makeup – Vivid Brights Liner in Vivid Gunmetal
When I first pulled this Teeez Cosmetics Eve’s Ready to Wear lipstick from the Ipsy Bag, I immediately fell for the packaging. It’s so cute, very chic and very now! The actually lipstick is called Romantic Red, and is a true Blue-Based Red. What I personally love about this lipstick is that it looks great on darker skin tones, ultra moisturizing and very little transfer. and BIG PLUS, this lipstick helps to brighten up your smile by making the teeth look whiter. Who doesn’t love whiter teeth?

Last item in our Halloween Inspired Ipsy Bag is this Pür-lisse Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango and Shea Butters. I’ve just started using it this week, so I’m still not sure how I completely feel about the product. My lips seem to be very moisturized after use and I’ve noticed that I will not reapply for several hours which means that it’s keeping my lips moisturized throughout the day. I prefer a lip treatment that has a little more body to the formula, this formula seems a little loose, but that could be because California is in the middle of a heat wave. I’m going to keep testing it out and update you soon. But so far, It’s keeping my lips feeling good for several hours after one use, so that a definite plus!
