I’ve been on the search for the perfect Kimono for a couple of years now. I know that there are plenty of websites that have them but I was a looking for one that was unique, long and a satin/silk type fabric and I was unsuccessful until recently.
As many of you know, I modeled for the Body Loves Cake Boutique recently and the event was held at The Plus Bus in Los Angeles, Ca. Before my modeling debut, I had an opportunity to peruse the clothing and came across this amazing Kimono.
What caught my eye first was the length. It was on a rack and it was the longest piece hanging there. When I picked it up and realized that it was a Kimono, I was beyond excited. I immediately tried it on and I was sold.
The black detailing on the sleeve and collar made the animal print stand out. The Red, Orange and Pink hues soften the animal print detail making it the perfect Kimono for me. Although I would love for the length to be a little longer, I was overall happy with the look.
In order to ensure that the Kimono was the star of the show, I opted to wear all black underneath. My jeans are my all-time favorite black jeans from Torrid. They have the perfect amount of stretch and fit like a glove. I added a simple cami from Lane Bryant and my booties are from Payless Shoe Source.
Adding the right accessories to this look was a must. So, I went for simple hoop earrings, my Desi Perkins High Key Quay glasses and added an Asian-inspired fan to complete the look.
